Go full stealth mode in V-Commandos

Regular visitors to our site may already know that one of my favorite board games is a WWII game called Memoir ’44. The game we’re reviewing today is also a WWII-themed board game – but it’s cooperative!

Instead of battling against each other, in V-Commandos players work together to take out enemy objectives in a WWII setting. Yet rather than relying on brute strength to take out enemies and objectives, this game hinges on stealth operations.

Let’s see if V-Commandos is a game that might strike your fancy.

How about playing a board game where the board floats above the table?

Playing Gravity Warfare you’ll almost get exactly that!

While it’s not technically floating in the air, the way it’s suspended it might as well be. Because as players place their pieces on the board, it will tilt, sway, and swing based on gravity.

When I first heard from Ares Games about Divinity Derby, I didn’t think much of it. After the game arrived, I took a quick look at the rules and because the game play isn’t very complicated, and it plays up to 6 players, I decided to give it a shot soon after.

UNIMO is like UNO with a theme

UNO is one of the most popular card games in the world.

Although it may be relatively new when compared to such games as Poker and Bridge, we don’t think you’ll find anyone referring to UNO as a “new card game”. Time to divide the Spoils of War

The first time I saw a version of Liar’s Dice was in the movie, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest. Will challenges Davy Jones to a game aboard the Flying Dutchman to find the location of the key to the Dead Man’s Chest.

With it being such a common game, you’d think I would have encountered it long before seeing that movie. But I hadn’t.

Since then though, I’ve come across a number of iterations of Liar’s Dice.

The latest iteration of the game was published last year by Arcane Wonders called Spoils of War.
