Here’s our mid-year report listing the board games and card games we’ve played the most this year so far. That’s one of the best ways to see what our favorite games are.
Kingdom Builder is a fantastic family board game!
It’s easy to learn and play, has great components, and has a nice balance of luck and strategy. But one of the things we like the most is that every game has different win conditions. As such, every game warrants a different approach to keep things interesting.
So when Queen Games published an expansion to Kingdom Builder that provides more boards, more abilities, and more objectives, we were anxious to give it a try.

Our 3rd, and last, Carcassonne expansion board game review is for the mini-expansion: Carcassonne The River.
And since it’s a mini-expansion, this will be a mini-review because there isn’t a lot to say about it.
