Dad’s Christmas Board Game Wishlist

With Christmas fast approaching, like others, I’m asked what I’d like for Christmas. And as you can see from my recent post on my Top 14 Best Board Games, we have a number of great board games that I could enjoy playing continuously.

Yet, board games still make their way onto my wishlist. We frequently hear from readers about board games they love and suggest we play. And being a board game reviewer keeps me alerted to new board games being released. That also means that many games pique my interest on a regular basis.

Top 14 Best Board Games – Dad

Posting the Top Board Games lists for each member of our family these last few weeks has kept me thinking about which board games, card games, and party games I’d include on my list.

The hardest part for me is narrowing down the list because I love playing so many games. I love the social interaction, the thinking, the strategizing, the cool themes, the variety of game mechanics, and the twists of luck. So for me, the best board game will always come down to “it depends”.

Board game blowout weekend

Our nephew (and cousin) returned last week from his 2 year church mission and we got to spend the extended weekend with their family catching up on many things as well as playing lots of board games!

Knowing that we’d be spending a long weekend at their home, and that Jake loves playing board games, we had the tough choice of which games we should first introduce him to upon his return. We wanted to take games he’d already be familiar with, but we also wanted to play games that we’ve added to our game shelves over the last 2 years that we thought he’d love.
