There’s a lot to the board game creation process. It all starts with a game idea and ends with the game on store shelves. But what happens in between?

Tonight we’re not gathering around the table with a family board game. Instead we’re hanging out on the couch with pizza and popcorn watching college football (“American football” to our international friends) and cheering on our alam mater.

Today our board game shelves lost some weight. To be exact, our games shelves are actually 28 board games lighter than they were yesterday.
With school starting up for the kids in just a couple days, today was spent in cleaning and organizing mode.
It’s a great time to pass some of our board games suited for young children on to other families.

Over the last 2 weeks our family has spent a lot of time around the TV. As you know, we wouldn’t normally spent hours on end sitting in front of a screen. But these last 2 weeks were different. We tried to soak up as much of the 2012 Summer Olympics as we could.

Ok, so maybe taking 15 Boy Scouts on a backpacking trip this weekend won’t include a lot of Rest & Relaxation. But it probably will be filled with Rambling and Rambunctious boys.

And it should be a lot of fun.
