Must play board game for driver’s license

Our second son is currently working on earning his driver’s license. In order to get his license he must first take a driver’s education course, carry a pre-driver’s license permit for 6 months during which he must log 40 hours of driving with a parent/adult, then pass the driver’s test. Once he’s done all that, he’s legally able to drive a car on his own.

But nowhere in all those mandatory requirements is “must play a board game”.

We recently stumbled across a list of best board games at Ranker.com. This website provides a way for people to create lists and have others vote on the items on the list. Items will move up or down the list depending on the votes.

At the time we saw the list, there had been 7,000 people cast their votes. These were the top 76 board games of all time according to the voters.

Ready for ChiTAG – Chicago Toy and Game Fair

Even though the Chicago Toy and Game Fair (ChiTAG) is still over 3 months away, I’m getting ready for it. Because this year, for the first time, I’m going to be there!

ChiTAG started in 2003 and is the largest toy and game fair in the U.S. open to public. ChiTAG brings together hundreds of companies and leaders in the toy and game industry and thousands of participants for a few days of fun. In 2012, ChiTAG attracted over 25,000 people!

From what I hear, they put on a great show.
