Whatever the reason, more family time is a great thing
I was reading an article this weekend entitled “Live Well With What You Have” by Lynn Schnurnberger in Parade and was again impressed with how nice it is to hear of families spending more time together. “…the whole family has been spending more time together at home eating pizza and playing games.”
There are many reason why this has been happening and it’s safe to assume we all know families that have recently been affected by:
- lost jobs
- decreased work hours
- diminished paychecks
- lost homes
- illness
And all of these occasions get us to stop and think about our priorities in life.
We also tend to find ourselves thinking about our priorities as a new year dawns. New Year’s Resolutions always get us to focus on what we can improve upon in our lives. And more often than not, these resolutions and priorities will get us to focus on spending time with our families.
One of the main reasons we started this web site was to encourage others to spend more time with their families playing games together. So regardless of the reason, take advantage of the time you have and get better acquainted with each other. Pull out a board game or a card game or just make up a game and play it together as a family.
Whatever you do with your family, cherish it.
