The Game Canopy = best game bag!
How do you carry your board games when you’re heading out somewhere else to play?
We’ve used a variety of options when going away for a family vacation, extended family gathering, or off to game night.
They’ve included plastic totes, cloth bags, and standard duffle bags.
But those options severely limit the amount of games we can take and don’t protect the games very well.
Recently we found out about The Game Canopy, by Level 3B, and now the issue is solved!
Check it out in our video review of The Game Canopy!
(You can get yours as part of The Game Canopy Kickstarter campaign.)
Fits Plenty of Games
With The Game Canopy we don’t have to worry about cutting down on our game playing options. And we don’t have to worry the game boxes getting banged up.
As you can see in our video review as well as in the photos, The Game Canopy can fit a bunch of games.
The bottom dimensions of the bag are slightly larger than the standard size game box that many modern board games are using (often referred to as “Ticket to Ride size”). So plenty of those size boxes can stack on top of each other.
For slightly longer game boxes, they can be stood on end (like Brooke did in the video with Harry Potter Clue).
And of course, plenty of smaller boxes can fit in comfortably.
The side pockets are great for tossing in small card games as well.
Well Protected
The Game Canopy is also very well constructed.
It’s as if the people designing the bag really knew what they were creating it for! (of course they did/do)
For starters, the fabric used to make the bag is fantastic.
It’s called Cordura Fabric. And even though I don’t know much about fabric differences (hadn’t heard of Cordura before), by simply handling it I can tell it’s durable. It’s also water resistant.
But even better than the fabric is the padding on all sides of the bag — including the top and bottom. The thick foam padding is terrific for protecting all the games inside.
In addition, the zipper won’t even touch the games.
That’s because there’s an extra flap of padding just inside the double zippers.
So even if your games shift around a little inside the bag while transporting them, they’re very well protected and won’t get dinged up.
Easy to Load and Carry
The way The Game Canopy opens is also very cool.
The zippers finish at the bottom at an angle so one side of the bag opens completely and lays flat. It creates great access for both loading games and taking them out to play.
The reinforced handle with a velcro strap is a sturdy way to top it all off.
Carrying 10 games would normally be unwieldy. But the shape of The Game Canopy makes carrying that many games a breeze. Since they stack higher than they do wide, the bag is easy to carry by your side.
There are also a number of D-rings on the side straps for using a shoulder strap if you’d like.
Yep, it’s definitely the best board game bag we’ve used!

The Game Canopy also comes in different trim colors. We really like the Hipster Yellow color we got. But we’re sure the Bright Red-Orange, Neutral Grey, and Peacock Green colors are cool too.

You should check out the chromacast bag. 24×12.5×12.5, almost equal in quality from what I see, and much much much cheaper ($20). And also ready to ship NOW.
Ryan – Thanks for the tip.
