Curses! – Curse your friends at party time
Have you ever wondered what your brother would speak like if he were an Irish pirate ventriloquist?
Well, thanks to Curses you can find out.
Curses is a great party game that you can play with family and friends alike. Of course you better be ready to act silly and like to laugh a lot. And you’ll end up getting a bunch of laughs even from someone who didn’t really want to play in the first place. Convince them to join and you’ll all be much happier for it.
Curses is very easy to learn and simple to play. Pick the top Challenge Card from the deck and do what it states. Then pick the top Curse Card and play it on someone. Anyone caught breaking (not performing) their curse during the game has to turn that card over. After three strikes they’re out. Of course, they still get to participate in getting others to break their curses too.
After a few rounds, the curses really start to pile up until you get into some impossible situations where you’ll have to choose which curse you’re going to have to break just to keep going.
Of course, that is if you can even keep track of all the curses placed upon you. Which also means it can be hard for the other players to keep track of your curses (so you may be able to get away with a thing or two).
But beware, because someone will inevitably bring it up – “hey weren’t you supposed to be professing your undying love to whoever rings the bell?”
Can the whole family enjoy Curses?
If they can read, they can play the game.
Of course you’ll want to be very lenient with them. I don’t know many 6 year olds that know what an insurance policy is, let alone how to convince someone to purchase their policy.
So we usually go very lenient on any of the challenge cards. We find the fun in just acting silly with crazy curses.
Lots of fun.
