Ready for ChiTAG – Chicago Toy and Game Fair
Even though the Chicago Toy and Game Fair (ChiTAG) is still over 3 months away, I’m getting ready for it. Because this year, for the first time, I’m going to be there!
ChiTAG started in 2003 and is the largest toy and game fair in the U.S. open to public. ChiTAG brings together hundreds of companies and leaders in the toy and game industry and thousands of participants for a few days of fun. In 2012, ChiTAG attracted over 25,000 people!
From what I hear, they put on a great show.
Take a glimpse at a few of the events that are a part of ChiTAG:
- ChiTAG Fair
- Young Inventor Challenge
- iSpi – International Summit for Professional Inventors
- Toy & Game Inventor of the Year (TAGIE) Awards
- PlayChic
- and more…
I’m especially excited for the event this year because I’m going to join in the fun. And just yesterday, I was hanging out where the show takes place – Navy Pier in Chicago, IL, USA.
My oldest son, Trevor, and I are spending a few days in Chicago and having a great time packing in some fun.
Those that have followed our blog for a while will know that earlier this year I got a great new job. What you may not know is that it’s with a company in the Chicago area. One of the great parts of the job is that I get to work remote. So we still get to live in our wonderful area along the Wasatch mountain range in Utah and travel to headquarters occasionally.
This time around, I was excited to bring Trevor along to see the big city. Yesterday, we spent the day touring downtown Chicago, taking a speedboat tour on Lake Michigan, and enjoying Navy Pier. Then we capped off the night with The Blue Man Group. Great day!
And in just a few months, I’ll be back on Navy Pier taking in all the toy and gaming goodness of ChiTAG.
P.S. If you’re going to be at ChiTAG, I’d love to meet you. Drop me a line via the form on our About Us page.
Thanks for the Great Preview! We’ve added this to our 2013 Fair Preview Page. We’re really excited and glad you’re coming!
