Easier to find favorite family board games

We’re happy to announce a recent feature addition to our site that makes it easier for you to find our favorite family board games!

We’ve updated our Game Reviews list so you can now sort by our ratings – making it easier for you to find a fun board game or card game for your family. Our Game Reviews page used to me just an alphabetical list of all the board games and card games that we’ve done video reviews of. And since we’ve posted over 80 board game video reviews it wasn’t really easy to tell from the list which games you might enjoy.

So we’ve now posted the list of board game video reviews in a table that you can sort by our ratings. Simply click on the column header you’re interested in an you’ll see their top rated games. If you’d like to see what mom’s top rated games are, then simply click on “Mom”. If you’re interested to see what our youngest son likes the most out of the games we’ve reviewed, click on “Caleb”. You can also click on the “Avg” column header to rank them in order of our aggregate ratings.

Why don’t our Average ratings correspond to our Top 10 “Must-Have” Family Board Games list?
The biggest reason is that a number of games haven’t been rated by everyone in the family. For example, Mom and Brooke haven’t played Lord of the Rings the Confrontation, Thunderstone, or Shadows Over Camelot. So the ratings averages on those games are very high because all the boys in the family love them. But the don’t make the Top 10 Family Board Games or Card Games lists because they aren’t fully family rated. (But us boys obviously believe they deserve a top spot on your shelf.)

We’ll continue to make tweaks to it to make it as helpful as we can for you to find fun family board games for your clan. We’re also planning to create another page where you can sort by other game information to find a game that fits your needs – like sorting by ages, number of players, and play time.
